DAIWA J Braid Expedition x8E is an extremely durable braided line designed for demanding saltwater fishing. This is a line that we at Outside Travels use on many of our reels during fishing trips abroad, especially for jigging and tropical fishing where the equipment is truly put to the test.

The line is made in Japan from high-quality IZANAS PE fiber and features a tight 8-strand braid that provides a round and stable profile. This ensures smooth passage through the rod guides, excellent casting properties, and a line that maintains its shape even under heavy strain from strong fish.

The advanced Silicon Coating PE technology makes the line water-repellent. J Braid Expedition does not absorb water and therefore does not attract sand and particles, which are otherwise the main cause of wear and tear on braided lines. The result is a longer lifespan and consistent performance during long fishing days in tropical waters.

The multicolor design makes it easy to keep track of depth and line payout during jigging and vertical fishing, which is crucial when fishing for species such as GT, dogtooth tuna, and amberjack. At the same time, the dimension also works excellently for heavy sea fishing for coalfish, cod, and halibut.

According to Daiwa's own scale, 0.32 mm corresponds to PE 5, making this an excellent choice when you need both strength and control.
